Juneau Whale Watching Tours
Whale Watching is our passion.
COME EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF SOUTHEAST ALASKA WITH US
Join Renee and Winston for an unforgettable 4-hour whale watching excursion that will be the highlight of your Alaska trip! The tour starts the moment you board the Alaska Sea to Shore van in downtown Juneau. Your driver/guide will point out the plethora of highlights during the 20-minute drive to Auke Bay. We’ll be traveling along the Gastineau Channel with stunning mountain views and great opportunities to see bald eagles gathering along the Mendenhall Wetlands State Game Refuge. We will continue north until we reach Auke Bay, where you will meet Captain Winston and step aboard your vessel M/V Athena Rose. We’ll set out to explore the waterways and islands in the Channel Islands Marine Park. While our main focus are the 50-foot humpback whales that have migrated here to feed, we’ll also be on the lookout for a variety of wildlife including playful sea lions, curious harbor seals, Dall’s porpoise, harbor porpoise, majestic bald eagles, numerous sea birds, and we are always on the lookout for Orca’s! We will top off your trip by providing a rare opportunity to step ashore one of the many isolated islands in the marine park. The islands themselves are rich in history and biodiversity, giving you a deeper connection to the area. It’s a chance to truly immerse yourself in the coastal environment enhancing the trip in a way no other tour in Juneau offers.
